Bridget has been a Fringe must-see for years, and now she has taken her comedy to a new level. Krystal Evans: The Hottest Girl in Burn Camp

When Krystal appeared at Leith Comedy Festival Presents.. in June, she gave us a tantalising glimpse of a story that we’re desperate to hear in full at this year’s Fringe. It’s hard to believe it’s her first full-length show because she commands the room like one of the greats.

7.35pm (1h) | Monkey Barrel at The Hive | 2nd to 27th August (not 15th) | Buy tickets

Max & Ivan: Life, Choices

What can we say about this timeless double act? They have a stack of hit shows behind them, and they’re a guaranteed hour of joy and laughter. By the end of the show, it’s like you’ve had belly laughs with good friends.

Sooz Kempner: Y2K Woman

Sooz Kempner

Sooz Kempner is an award-winning comedian with an incredible singing voice, and has recently been announced as Doom in “Doom’s Day”, a “Doctor Who” spin-off series with the BBC. She has gone viral with political videos playing Liza Minnelli, Nadine Dorries and Liz Truss.

Marc Jennings: Away from Here

Marc Jennings

Marc Jennings has already been a sell-out success in Edinburgh and his home town of Glasgow. He’s one third of the highly acclaimed “Some Laughs” podcast, and on the brink of major success. This is your heads up to catch him now before he sells out again.

5.50pm (1h) | Monkey Barrel at the Tron | 2nd to 27th August (not 16th) | Buy tickets

Marjolein Robertson: Marj

Marjolein Robertson

This standup from Shetland was a finalist at last year’s BBC New Comedy Awards. She’s a storyteller that talks about a range of subjects including ADHD and moths, with splendidly surreal trains of thought worthy of Eddie Izzard.

5pm (1h) | The Stand One | 3rd to 28th August (not 14th) | Buy tickets

Dan Tiernan: Going Under

Dan Tiernan recently burst onto the comedy scene and has already collected a bunch of awards for his mantelpiece, including BBC New Comedy Awards 2022 & British Comedian Of The Year 2022. He has supported Micky Flanagan and Jamali Maddix on tour, and it’s only a matter of time until he has a nationwide tour of his own.

10pm (1h) | Monkey Barrel Two | 31st July to 27th August (not 14th) | Buy tickets

Emmanuel Sonubi: Curriculum Vitae

Emmanuel Sonubi

It’s essential to include Emmanuel Sonubi in this year’s list because he’s one of those names who’s rising to stardom so quickly, after only a few years in comedy. He might be too big for The Fringe next year so get in there now. As Romesh Ranganathan says “this bloke has got funny bones”.

6.10pm (1h) | Underbelly Bristo Square, The Dairy | 2nd to 28th August (not 14th) | Buy tickets

Helen Bauer: Grand Supreme Darling Princess

The star of Live at the Apollo and Trusty Hogs podcast is an instant hit with audiences. Far from hiding sneaky human traits, she relishes the way modern life shows that we’re not all as honourable as we claim to be. She celebrates and sends up everything in pop culture from social media to Disney princesses. A future star.

4.45pm (1h) | Monkey Barrel One | 14th to 27th August | Buy tickets

TOP TIPS:

  1. Always check dates and times with the venue before travelling as things change.
  2. If tickets are sold out at either the venue or the Fringe Box Office, try the other one as they have separate allocations.
  3. It’s also worth trying at the venue just before the show, as unused press tickets are often released at that point
